Nigerian healthtech platform, Oncopadi, has been selected to participate in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 taking place between February 25th – 28th. Selected alongside 9 other African startups, Oncopadi would be a part of the largest mobile event in the world.

This opportunity is powered by Telecel Global, who would be introducing these African startups (chosen through its African Startup Initiative) at the MWC in Barcelona as they showcase their innovation to the world.

Oncopadi is a friendly cancer app founded by Dr. Lola Salako, a radiation oncologist. The startup aims at simplifying the process of access to cancer information, care, and resources by empowering patients with technology to become more informed and involved in their care.

This helps with the improvement of the abysmal cancer survival rates in Africa

Oncopadi – Africa’s first digital oncology clinic.

The app gives users access to consultations as well as navigates cancer patients to approved cancer hospitals to get treatments.

Asides exposure to the global world, Oncopadi and other startups would also have learning opportunities from programmes, GSMA seminars, and summits, to help them achieve their goals.
