1. Go on a shopping spree and take advantage of the discount sales
So, if you had a date, I guess you would have spent some money to show some love right? Take the money you would have spent on cupcakes, chocolates and ice creams and treat yourself. Stores, especially online stores usually have sales that you can save on!

2. Be very active on social media, like people’s pictures, make meaningful comments


Hangout with your phone. Broadcast your Tinder page if you want. Take turns swiping on each of your profiles and you might find a date for next year’s Valentine’s Day. Visit Instagram, like as many pictures. Don’t leave behind a boring moment.
3. Visit YouTube or Netflix, Watch funny videos
Laughing makes the brain secret endorphins, which makes you happy. So hit up a comedy club or watch some stand up on Netflix. Visit YouTube, search for funny valentine videos, make sure you’re happy. Happiness is free and it begins with you.

4. Take the day off the Internet


As they say, one man’s vittles is another’s venin. If being connected to the internet and viewing interesting moments from happy couples will make you moodier or depressed then stay off the internet or turn off social media. You might realize you’ve long needed a break from it all!
5. Have a movie marathon featuring your celebrity crush.
Is Leonardo DiCaprio your movie crush? Or Eva Mendes? Collect all your celebrity crush movies. Spend a beautiful Valentine’s Day with your true on-screen love.
6. Host a singles party or get-together


Use ecards, your WhatsApp status or social media timelines. Create short invites like, “If you single this valentine, I’m hosting a party”. You’ll be surprise you are not alone. It could be going to brunch together or watching a hilarious movie. This will give you a chance to spend quality time with people you care about.
7. Read an (e)book or learn something new online


There are countless free ebooks that cut across various literary works. Download any one one of your choice and read till you sleep off. There are also countless platforms that offer free courses online so you can learn something new.
