During the week, Multichoice Nigeria announced the fourth edition of the Big Brother Naija reality show.
The big reality show that keeps many Nigerians glued to their television for three months will take place in Nigeria this time.

#10yearChallenge: The Game that’s Taking The Internet by Storm
The #10YearChallenge, or the 2009 vs. 2019 Challenge trended on all social media this week. No one knows the origin of the game but that didn’t stop lots of people from joining the fun.
The challenge is simple; you post a photo of yourself in 2009 next to a photo of yourself in 2019. Caption it whatever you want. That’s it!
The idea was basically for people to see how much they’ve developed over ten years but it soon became comedy as lots of funny memes found their way into the challenge.
In other news, there was suspicion from some quarters that Facebook initiated the #10yearsChallenge as a tool to enhance it’s facial recognition technology.
But Facebook denies having any hand in the #10YearChallenge so in the end, no one knows who started the #10yearsChallenge.
Nigerians Celebrate Atiku’s Visit to United States (US)
PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar visited the US despite speculations that he cannot travel there for criminal reasons.
His supporters quickly took to social media to celebrate his coming to America despite speculations of a 12 year visa ban.
The visit puts an end to speculations that he cannot gain entry into the United States.
Zimbabwe Experiences 1st Total Internet Shut Down
During the week, Zimbabwe imposed a “Total Shutdown” of the internet after early protests triggered a ruthless security crackdown.
The shutdown was later confirmed by Econet founder, Strive Masiyiwa when he passed along a statement made by his company on Facebook.
We hope the situation is quickly resolved and internet restored so that people can enjoy their freedom of expression and association.
