Andela is Best Place to Work in Nigeria 2018, Seni Sulyman Appointed as Vice President, Global Operations

According to an annual report titled ‘The Best 100 Companies to Work For in Nigeria’ published by Jobberman, Andela, a global technology talent sourcing company has been named the best place to work in Nigeria for 2018.

Andela was founded in 2014 and specializes in training software developers and matching them with global companies that need their skills and talents. The company currently has over 900 employees around the world. Although still a startup, it stands tall amongst global technology giants operating in Nigeria such as Google, GE and IBM to prove that it provides the best career opportunity for growth and satisfaction.

The Jobberman report ranks companies in Nigeria based on job satisfaction, employee happiness, career growth prospects, work-life balance and other relevant metrics as voted for by employees and career professionals. On the list, the top 10 technology-related companies to work for in Nigeria include, Andela (1), MTN (6), Google (11), General Electric (12), Seamfix (29), Interswitch (33), Chams (36), 9mobile (41), IBM (46) and Layer3 (48).

In a statement, Andela’s new Vice President, Global Operations and former Country Director of Andela Nigeria, Seni Sulyman says:

Seni Sulyman who joined the company as Director of Operations for Nigeria in 2016, and moved into the role of Country Director of Nigeria six months later, has been appointed the Vice President of Global Operations effective immediately.

Seni will oversee Andela’s talent recruitment and development, service delivery, and African operations across Lagos, Nairobi and Kampala, driving key decisions and initiatives that affect its 900+ employees.

Under his leadership, Andela Nigeria grew by over 400%, built a high-performing, cross-functional team and unveiled an ultra-modern technology office in Lagos. During Seni’s tenure, the company emerged as #1 on Jobberman’s Best 100 places to work in Nigeria list (2018) and earned the US Secretary of State Award for Corporate Excellence.

Of his new role as Vice President of Global Operations, Seni says:
