    — MainOne (@Mainoneservice) October 19, 2017

The Mobile World Congress is the world’s largest gathering for the mobile industry, organised by the GSMA and held in the Mobile World Capital Barcelona, 26 February – 1 March 2018. This year’s edition is expected to have about 8,000 attendees, 2300 exhibitors, 400 Operator Companies, 10,000 Operator Attendees and about 208 countries represented.

Executives from Bharti Enterprises, BT Group, Ericsson, NTT DOCOMO, Red Hat, Telenor Group and Vodafone Group are among the first keynote speakers confirmed.

The conference will address key topics such as the evolution to 5G and next-generation networks, consumer IoT, digital content and entertainment, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, privacy and security, and sustainable development, among many others. In addition to the keynote sessions, the conference will include series of focused track sessions that explore specific subjects in greater depth.

The event will also feature the 2018 GLOMOs Awards – an award that has been described as the Oscars of the mobile industry! The GLOMOs awards aim at recognising and celebrating contributions made to the mobile industry. It may also interest you to note that the Mobile World Congress Barcelona has been carbon neutral for three years in a row and was certified by the Guinness Book of World Records.
