It’s just few days away from the second edition of the largest blockchain gathering in Africa, Technext Coinference 2.0. The event is billed to hold on Monday, the 3rd of October, 2022, at the Landmark Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos. The theme remains unchanged: Blockchain and DeFi: Beyond the Hype.

When you bring together key players in the African crypto space, you’re certain to expect engaging conversations. Here is the list of confirmed speakers you will be meeting at Technext Coinference 2.0, in no particular order.

Fejiro Hanu Agbodje

Hanu Fejiro Agbodje, a pioneer in the African crypto space, is the Founder/CEO of Patricia Technologies, an alternative payment solutions company redefining everyday transactions through the power of Blockchain Technology, one crypto transaction at a time.

An avid traveller on a never-ending quest for knowledge, Hanu has, over the past five years, proven himself a trail-blazer in the fintech and crypto space and has been honoured with awards and recognitions for his contributions to the African Fintech and Crypto space.

Hanu will be delivering the first keynote presentation, Blockchain for Africa: Decentralised economies, merged future at Technext Coinference 2.0.

Emmanuel Babalola

Babz, as he is fondly called, is the current CEO of Bundle – an Africa-focused social payments app for cash and crypto.  He is a self-taught software developer that has created multiple apps and products.

He was previously the Business Development Manager at Binance in Nigeria, where he led the Africa chapter of the world’s largest crypto exchange and blockchain infrastructure provider. He also served as the VP of Sales & Marketing at Churchplus, the biggest church management solution in Nigeria.

At Binance, Babalola has pioneered education initiatives such as Binance Masterclass which provides free blockchain education courses to the masses, especially in Africa and has reached over 400,000 people. He has also helped establish self-regulated blockchain institutions in Nigeria that have played a key role in building the crypto & blockchain ecosystem across Africa.

Babz will be delivering the second keynote address, DeFi in Africa – Possibilities beyond the Hype, at Technext Coinference 2.0.

Buki Ogunsakin

Buki Ogunsakin is a legal practitioner with a track record of excellence in Crypto, Nanotechnology, Drone, IoTs, and NFT consultation/management. She is the Principal/Head Satoshi of BBO Solicitors, an organization that offers a spectrum of legal services to individuals, corporations, institutions and NGOs in the crypto space. 

She practises primarily in three areas of law – emerging technologies (crypto, NFTs, AI etc), data privacy, and cybersecurity. Ogunsakin is also currently a Consultant with InterStellar Inc; and the Director of Strategy at Emerging Technologies for Emerging Markets (E4E).

Ogunsakin is also a Blockchain/Crypto/Smart Contract Researcher at Smart Contract Research Forum – a Canada-based forum that serves as a bridge between academia and industry, and a Kleros Decentralized Justice Fellow.

She is also a Certified NFT Expert from the Blockchain Council and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Sandi Bitenc

Sandi is the Chief Executive Officer at 3air, a blockchain-based startup structured to provide African communities with broadband internet connectivity while at the same time offering a wide variety of digital services.

He is a serial entrepreneur and a computer geek. His professional computer career started already in his teens when he was part of a hosting and domain registrar startup company that went to become the biggest in the Adriatic area and branched to software development and a fully-fledged marketing agency.

Sandi has leading experience in the gaming industry and the health industry. He is part of many blockchain communities and devotes most of his time to the industry. As a WR holder in 24-hour apnea diving, he is well goal-oriented and relentless in his pursuit.

Ayodeji Awosika

Ayodeji Awosika is the founder and Program Director of Web3bridge & Blokeducare, a program fully focused on training blockchain developers in Nigeria and Africa. Awosika believes that developer and user education is critical to the growth of Web3 and its development in Africa. 

He is a passionate blockchain evangelist who remains committed to driving the adoption of blockchain technology in Africa. Within two years, he and his team have introduced over 700 Nigerians and Africans to Blockchain Technology with more than 50 devs actively working and contributing to projects in Nigeria and abroad.

Famous Ehichioya

Famous is the Chief Technology Officer at Youverify, an identity verification company helping African banks and startups. He has more than 7 years of progressive experience developing, implementing, and leading products, innovations and technology.

His expertise includes a blend of strong technical, product development & innovation, business strategy and people management skills, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional products using cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment while ensuring quality and meeting cost expectations

Oloye Oluniyi

Oloye Oluniyi founded CCSwap, a full-fledged crypto community focused on onboarding newbies and providing the information they need to get started. 

Oloye co-founded CryptoRoundUpAfrica alongside Groovy, Kidbold and others. CryptoRoundupAfrica (CRA) is a crypto media company focused on connecting Africans to the Web3 economy. He prides himself as a staunch proponent of Web3

Ebenezer Ugo Akachukwu

Ebenezer Ugo Akachukwu is an experienced entrepreneur with a demonstrated history in business development and administration, blockchain development, consultancy, and Web3 advisory. He is an Artist & Web3.0 Advisor at Rywave.

With certified Computer Science skills in Microsoft Networking, he bolstered his skillset by acquiring cryptography, solidity and blockchain skills. Akachukwu also oversaw high-end creative projects in the music business.

He currently leads product management at SaFi, a crypto services product and blockchain consultancy and working on developing decentralized solutions for web3 projects.

Oluchi Enebeli

Oluchi Enebeli is the first Nigerian Female Blockchain Engineer who has worked with top Blockchain companies such as Binance, Crypto.com, Nestcoin, etc. She is the Founder of one of Africa’s leading non-profit Web3 communities, Web3Ladies with over 13,000 members across countries/platforms.

As a blockchain engineer and technical product manager, she builds crypto/blockchain applications and leads teams to create scalable products for lasting world-class solutions to real-life problems.

She has experience working with several Blockchain startups at different growth stages, building products and networks across various areas of blockchain, such as Defi, Crypto, NFTs, governance, etc. Her job also entailed integrating various blockchain networks, developing smart contracts, and creating business applications across multiple platforms and languages.

Imade Iyamu

Imade Iyamu is a corporate lawyer. She is the Legal and Compliance Manager at Mono, an African startup that helps connect consumers’ bank accounts to financial applications. Before joining Mono, she was an associate at a top-rated Nigerian corporate law firm, Banwo & Ighodalo.

She is currently running her MBA program at Columbia Business School in the United States.

Tunji Anjorin

Tunji Anjorin is the President/Editor-In-Chief, Panaramic Entertainment, a Nigerian comic book publishing company founded in 2007 to create, develop, produce and distribute original content for students, out-of-school children and the general reading public.

He is also the Creator/Head Writer at Gidi Culture, an independent Television & Film production company. He spearheaded the Benin Bronze NFT Exchange Project, using NFTs to campaign for the return of looted Benin Bronzes to their actual creators.

Efosa Ighodaro

Efosa Ighodaro, one of Africa’s foremost crypto/NFT proponents, is the CEO/Founder of Hashgreed, the first African NFT marketplace.

Prior to founding the Krosscoin Project, Africa’s first crypto-token ecosystem, he invented Pipdroid, the world’s only mobile Algo trading platform for MT4 forex platform users, the most ubiquitous retail forex trading platform.

Anthony Azekwoh

Anthony Azekwoh is a digital artist and author whose paintings possess a stunning depth in their appearance; inviting viewers from across the world. His distinctive art style creates captivating mystical worlds where his characters are brought to life and given different meanings by the many eyes that gaze upon them.

Azekwoh is also a brilliant writer, his first artistic interest since age 13. He was the recipient of the Awele Trust Prize in 2017 and the Loose Convo $1000 grant in 2018. He has written five books, the third released through a publishing deal with an American publisher, Inkwell Publishing. His artistic brilliance has graced album covers of notable artistes such as Show Dem Camp, Masego, Adekunle Gold, and Blaqbonez. 

Shodipo Ayomide

Shodipo Ayomide leads the Global Developer Advocacy Team at Polygon, building Ethereum-compatible blockchain, He has about 10 years of experience in Technology and a track record in Web & Mobile Engineering, Community Management, and cross-team leadership on a global scale.

He has given talks/workshops at developer conferences around various locations and at conferences like, React Atlanta, FutureSync Conference, VueJS Amsterdam, VueJS Toronto, APIDAYS Hong Kong, Frontend Love Conference Amsterdam, FOSSASIA, Google Developer Groups among many others.

He is also one of the organizers of the Developer Circles Lagos from Facebook, unStack Africa, Open-Source Community Africa, and various other communities empowering Africa and the world. He is also an Expert and Instructor at egghead.io.

Mohammed Ibrahim Jega

Mohammed Ibrahim Jega is an accomplished highly-organised Project Manager and Business Developer with 19+ years of experience.

He is also a serial tech entrepreneur, startup advisor/mentor, fintech expert, Blockchain advocate, International Partner World Business Angel Investment Forum (WBAF), an Official Member of the Forbes Business Council and Director at Silicon Valley-based Founder Institute.

Mohammed co-founded Domineum Blockchain Solutions, a Distributed Ledger Technology Company providing Blockchain-as -a service solutions. He is a Director at Vogue Pay, an online payment processing company and also a Director at Vpd.money, a challenger bank. 

He is the Founder of Startup Arewa, a platform designed to build a sustainable northern tech ecosystem and unlock the region’s potential. He sits on the board of several tech companies such as Chairman Board AgriTECH Hub, Impact Hub, FSI, Hartfield Group, Young Innovators Nigeria, Nigeria Association of Computing Students (NACOS), Kickcity, Ambassador Cyber Security Challenge Nigeria (CYSEC-NG), Regional Ambassador Codefest International.

Adisa Olashile

Adisa Olashile is a photographer and NFT Creator.

In April, as a corps member in Ibadan, Oyo State, he made headlines after he took stunning portraits of an aged drummer, identified as Baba Onilu, minted the man’s photographs as a non-fungible token (NFT) on OpenSea and sold them for 0.3 Ethereum (Eth) each.

He melted the hearts of many after he handed the drummer half of the proceeds from the sales.

Ikechukwu “Cross” Okonkwo

Ikechukwu “Cross” Okonkwo is a Nigerian reality television star, actor and entrepreneur. He was the 3rd runner-up on season 6 of Big Brother Naija, one of the biggest reality TV shows on the continent.

He owns the Cross View Hotel in OwerriImo state and a co-owner of Gemhouse restaurant in Abuja. A fitness enthusiast, Cross is also the MD of Cross Fitness Nutrition and also has his fitness products.

He is also a crypto investor and enthusiast, heading into crypto trading in 2015 and then into NFTs and the metaverse in 2021.

Senator Ihenyen

Senator Ihenyen is the current President of Stakeholders in the Blockchain Technology Association of Nigeria (SiBAN), a self-regulatory body in Nigeria’s emerging blockchain industry.

He is also currently the General Secretary of the Blockchain Industry Coordinating Committee of Nigeria (BICCoN) and the General Secretary of the Fintech Alliance Coordinating Team (FACT).

Ihenyen is also the Lead Partner at Infusion Lawyers where he heads the Blockchain & Virtual Assets Practice and advises both local and foreign companies in emerging technologies, including blockchain.

He is the current 1st Vice Chairman of the Intellectual Property Committee and a member of the Information Technology Committee, both of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Section on Business Law (SBL).

Ruth Iselema

Ruth Iselema is the CEO of Bitmama Inc, a pan-African blockchain startup offering crypto products across payments, trading, loans, and investments, with footprints across Africa, Europe, and the US.

Prior to founding Bitmama, Iselema consulted for other leading global exchanges and blockchain protocols on their product strategy and market entry into Africa. 

With years of blockchain experience, she leads a global team at Bitmama spread across Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya.

She has also been recognized as one top 20 individuals shaping Africa’s blockchain space by leading media such as CryptoAssetBuyer and received other recognition from the German and Austrian Missions in Africa.

Chris Ani

Chris Ani is the Founder/CEO, Digital Abundance. a company that is using the internet and emerging Technology to create wealth for people in developing nations.

In 2017, Ani pioneered Cryptohub.club, the first platform in Nigeria for bitcoin, blockchain and cryptocurrency education. He also founded DABA, the first online education platform in Nigeria committed to digital skills; and DABA studios, the first of its kind in Nigeria.

He is also a founding executive member of the Stakeholders in Blockchain Technology Association of Nigeria (SiBAN), 

Obi Emeratom

Obi is a serial tech entrepreneur who has focused his entire career on the Fintech space in Africa. In 2008, he cofounded Appzone, a fintech software engineering firm that evolved into a payment infrastructure company.

He has led a number of innovative initiatives within Appzone including a bespoke Fintech software business, Africa’s first Banking SaaS platform on the cloud, and Africa’s first card management system and card vending machine.

Obi has led Appzone’s expansion to a combined team size of 300+ servicing 500+ Banks in 7 African countries.

He also oversaw the creation of ZONE, Africa’s first blockchain platform for payment processing that facilitates local and Intra-African payments in fiat and digital currencies and has simplified payment transfer processing.

Buchi Okoro

Buchi Okoro is the CEO and Co-Founder of Quidax, an African-focused cryptocurrency exchange that makes it easy for anyone to buy/sell Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies with their local currency in 5 minutes or less.

He has extensive experience in finance and is considered one of the brightest minds in the crypto space. His keen interest in financial systems has led to a career of continuously improving and scaling such systems.  

Prior to Quidax, Buchi worked as an investment & valuation analyst. During that time he worked on multiple projects including the evaluation of corporate properties for the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

As CEO of Quidax, Buchi is driven by an innate passion to make it easy for individuals and businesses to access cryptocurrency.

Linda Obi

Linda Obi is a blockchain entrepreneur and educator who has been in the tech space for more than eighteen years now.

She is the Global Head of Operations at Zenith Chain and founder/CEO of Techonomy Africa, a learn-to-earn platform that teaches Blockchain enthusiasts and students how to leverage the technology.

She is also leading the charge of female inclusion in the African crypto space by chairing Women in Crypto Africa.

Osamede Arhunmwunde

Osamede Arhunmwunde is an investor and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and COO of GIGX Technologies. He has invested in and exited several companies.

He has worked with organizations like the Canadian Armed Forces, Manitoba Marketing Network, University Of Manitoba, Chamber of Commerce, the US Air Force, TEDx, Nigerian National Petroleum Commission (NNPC), and advised many other prestigious organizations around the world.

Arhunmwunde is the author of Higher Education 101: Understanding the secrets to personal development and Why I Should Write a Book: The Smart Entrepreneur’s Secret to Massive Leverage and Growth.

Akah Nnani

Akah Nnani is a Nigerian actor, TV host and content creator. A native of Imo State, he graduated from Covenant University where he bagged a degree in Mass Communication.

He has been cast in several ‘MNET Africa’ TV Films, Web Series and Feature Films, including On the Real, Banana Island Ghost, Lara and the Beat, Ajoche and The Royal Hibiscus Hotel. His Vlog ‘Akah Bants’ has been recognised as one of the fastest-growing Nigerian YouTube channels. Beyond his works in the media space, he owns a collection of NFTs.
