There are shows like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (WWTBAM), Project Fame, Nigerian Idols which are a great source of entertainment where you can learn a thing or two. Then, there are those you wonder “why all that drama?”

For some reason, people seem to favour the more toxic reality TV shows. From Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) to Real Housewives Of Lagos (RHOLagos), to use toxic drama to describe the content is watering down the situation.

Below are some stories that trended on the social space featuring (you guessed it) some stories on “toxic” reality TV shows and what social media users had to say about them

Real Housewives of Lagos holds reunion

The first season of the RHOLagos season reunion show was held and it was a lot of unwanted drama – gbas gbos between the housewives.

First was between Laura Ikeji and Carolyn. Vawulence also erupted between Toyin Lawani and Carolyn, and both women insulted themselves like they hated each other.

Like that wasn’t enough, Toyin got into a shouting match with Chioma, threatened to beat her up and attempted to make good her threat but thankfully security stepped in.

Here’s what social media users had to say about it:

Still on the issue of problematic reality TV shows, Nigeria’s biggest TV show is set to return…

With the end of Real housewives of Lagos and Big Brother Nigeria beginning almost immediately, seems like we are not about to get any break from these somewhat problematic reality TV shows.
