announced the launch of the YouID v.3.0 app. The new YouID app is a digital wallet that
enables anyone, and from anywhere, to safely store, access and transfer their identity
data/documents more securely and rapidly.
According to Dr Gbenga Odegbami, the CEO of YouVerify, “YouID is a digital identity manager”
for all of your identification documents. Think of a digital encrypted wallet that is
protected by a password and pin that only you know, this wallet can house all of
your Identity documents, Identity numbers, Pins and any other personal document you deem
worthy of protection.
With the YouID App, the only password/pin you need to memorise is your YouID password. Even better, you will not need to upload an ID card every time you want to register for a new service that requires such.
The mobile application is designed by default to be pro-data privacy, this means it gives complete data control to users in addition to being fully compliant with relevant data regulations such as GDPR, NDPR and ISO.
The YouID app is 2FA compatible, adding an extra layer of security to the mobile application.
The mobile app first launched in mid-2021 and has since had nearly 200,000 user downloads across African countries, North America, the UK, Netherlands and India.

The new version (YouID v.3.0 app), has simplified the user experience, making it easier to capture and store any personal information, including but not limited to: National identity number (NIN), social security number, Bank Verification Number (BVN), International Passport, Drivers License, Passwords, Account number, Secret phrase and even phone numbers. It allows everyone to seamlessly verify government-issued identification documents and home addresses, and use it to access multiple digital services in real-time.
YouID v.3.0 prioritises data security, with the addition of a password breach alert, an innovation that warns you whenever any of your passwords is compromised, while allowing you access your data securely, even without an internet connection!
