Intermarc Consulting announces 22nd edition of Digital Pay Expo set to hold in June

Intermarc Consulting has announced its plan to hold the 22nd edition of the Digital Pay Expo. The event aims to be a gathering of experts not only from Nigeria but from Africa and beyond. with experts, keynote speakers and panellists to speak on different areas of the theme.

For over a decade now, the Digital Pay Expo event has become the leading payment industry platform to showcase innovation and get stakeholders to talk about industry trends.

The conference is scheduled to hold in Lagos for 2 days (9th-10th of June) with the theme “Defi Africa: Beyond Hype, Understanding Use Cases For The Continent”. The focus of this edition of the Digital Pay Expo will be decentralised finance, which has become a very necessary discussion at this time with the explosion of digital payment platforms.

Speaking on the reason for the digital pay expo, Matilda Adegbola, the Digital marketing officer for Intermarc Consulting, revealed that the conference is being “held to promote the interest of stakeholders in the banking and finance sector, with special focus on those in the financial technology (fintech) space as change enablers in this move to digitise payments in Africa.”

She revealed that the event which will be a two-day hybrid event will bring an unparalleled number of Defi innovators and change-makers, who will be sharing their stories, practical uses, angles of interest and challenges to avoid in the implementation of Defi in the continent.

It will be synchronised virtually on the 10Times platform to ensure participants can connect from all over the world, to allow for the greatest impact possible for the mixed audience.

Speaking for one of the sponsors of the conference, Mr Shola Ogunyemi from 9PSB said that partnering with Intermarc consulting for the Digital Pay Expo and discussing other issues affecting decentralised finance is in line with the company’s goal of ensuring that banking the unbanked and underbanked is a reality.

In his words:

Also speaking, Mr Francis Ogbuka, Chief Commercial Officer at AppZone, a fintech software provider believes that the conversations that will be held at the event will bring a change in areas of financial inclusion:

“We believe this is going to lead to a mass adoption of financial and payment products.”

The 2022 Digital PayExpo conference will also feature an exhibition from sponsors.
