As part of its celebration of women’s month this year, FCMB has announced SheVentures Tech Pitch, a competition for women in tech to pitch their businesses to a panel of judges.
In a statement sent to Technext, the commercial bank said that the top 3 finalists will share a sum of ₦2 million: the winner will get ₦1 million, while the 1st and 2nd runners up will get ₦650,000 and ₦350,000 respectively.
“In commemoration of International Women’s Day 2022, SheVentures, First City Monument Bank’s unique proposition in support of the Nigerian woman in business, is organising a pitch competition for women in tech,” FCMB said.
Other benefits for participant includes access to FCMB Women in Business Zero interest loan capped at ₦5 million per obligor and the SheVentures women in Business network and resources.
Participants are going to go through a selection process and pitch their business to a panel of six judges on a call. An event will be held, where six finalists will pitch to a set of judges.
The event is open to women in tech who are building digital solutions in the Ideas to MVP stage across the Health care, Education, Food Security, Agriculture, Finance sectors.
Applications for SheVentures Tech Pitch will close on March 17th, 2022.
