Tech events to attend this week: Galaxy Unpacked, Cyber Intelligence Africa 2022

Galaxy Unpacked 2022

This week, Samsung will host the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 live broadcast, which will kick off the first large Samsung Unpacked 2022 event. This year’s Unpacked event will be a virtual event that will be streamed live on Samsung’s website. It will also be available on a YouTube feed before the February 9 event.

There’s no news yet on what the company will be revealing this time. But, the event is expected to be the launchpad for the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra. There has been a series of leaks of Samsung’s Galaxy S22 flagship phone series. The event will surely put paid to some of the said speculations.

At this event, Samsung is expected to unveil a trio of flagship phones. However, there may be some significant changes for users. For starters, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus are expected to have smaller displays than their predecessors and new 50MP main cameras that are sharper than their predecessors. It’s possible we could also see accessories for both the S22 and the Tab S8, such as new wireless earbuds.

Developer Week/ Product World

One of the major events to look forward to this week is the Developer Week 2022 Conference & Fair. This is a 1,000+ participant hackathon event of over 800+ attendees. It will also feature a tech recruiting expo and a series of workshops.

This all-virtual event will feature technical lectures and keynotes and make up the largest developer conference and event series in the world.

The DeveloperWeek will also include all the exhibitions of new technologies. The conference and workshops welcome all to learn about VR development, AI development, Blockchain development, IoT development, Serverless technology, Microservices technology, new JavaScript frameworks, and more.

This year’s DeveloperWeek will feature an expanded DevExec World, which will include two days of roundtable discussions, instructional sessions, and networking opportunities for engineering managers, tech executives, and lead developers.

Big data and analytics Lagos

Attacks on the software supply chain have become far more serious and frequent. What should software development teams do in the face of these new threats? Organizations must make decisions that are fueled by data and analytics, or be held prisoner by them.

Because there is no quick fix, siloed data, lack of trust, misalignment with results, a focus on data for its own sake, and the expectation that a technology acquisition would suffice may be enormous challenges to overcome.

Cyber Intelligence Africa 2022

Cyber Intelligence Africa will be holding an event this week. This will be the first Cyber intelligence conference and expo in Africa. It will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Between February 8th and 9th, attendees will have unparalleled access to the region’s top government leaders who are executing national cyber security plans and strengthening cyber defense capabilities.

At the event, regional governments will debate national cyber security plans and regulations, battling cybercrime across Africa, international collaboration, threat intelligence and detection capabilities, and developing cyber awareness during the two-day event.
