Technext Coinference 2021

Announcing Technext Coinference 2021; Africa's largest crypto gathering!

This week, tech media organization, Technext, will be holding its maiden edition of Technext Coinference 2021 at the Pistis Center in Lekki. 

The event, whose theme is reimagining crypto as the future of finance, will be the biggest cryptocurrency gathering in Africa. 

Holding on Thursday, the event will provide a visible forum for major stakeholders in the African blockchain technology ecosystem as well as cryptocurrency fans to discuss the potential of cryptocurrencies in order to position themselves for future advantage.

The event promises a host of influential speakers who will share insightful reflections that will inspire attendees to take advantage of the many benefits of cryptocurrency. 

Some of the confirmed speakers include Dickson Nsofor, CEO of Kora, Uzoma Dozie, CEO and founder of Sparkle, Ruth Iselema, CEO of Bitmama, Chimezie Chuta, founder of the Blockchain Nigeria User Group, Buchi Okoro, CEO and Co-Founder, Quidax, Fejiro Hanu Agbodje, Founder/CEO, Patricia, amongst many others. 

The Technext Coinference will also provide a visible platform for key players in the blockchain technology ecosystem across Africa to reach an audience of young, enthusiastic, and prepared Africans in one place.

Andela Lagos Meet-Up

Tech talent outsourcing firm, Andela, will be hosting its end of year meet up at the Nest hub in Yaba, Lagos. 

The Andela Learning Community, which seeks to help the creation of thousands of African technologists and technology leaders, will be hosting the meet-up to address challenges as well as wins for the tech community over the one year period.

The company will also be using the opportunity to celebrate tech talents as it continues on its vision of supporting technology enthusiasts to become world-class developers and IT professionals using technology.

The meet-up is also going to bring together passionate learners with little or no knowledge of a programming language with industry leaders. This will give them the opportunity to have professional insights as they start or level up in either DevOps or front-end web development.

PAYE 2021

This week, the Pro-Active Youth Empowerment (PAYE), a non-profit organization, will be organizing its periodic youth empowerment program at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUnAb). 

The periodic event, which is one of a kind, intends to address the organization’s keen goal of meeting the needs of youths for capacity building, academic, social, and environmental impact. 

The event aims to teach participants diverse topics ranging from entrepreneurial development, leadership training, and digital skills that will help youths survive and prepare for social change. 

Participants at the event will also be trained in digital, vocational, soft, and hard skills, thereby adding their own quota to reducing the rate of unemployment in Nigeria. This is part of its mandate to give back to the community. 

The event is free for all and aims to meet the needs of the entire Nigerian youth populace and students.

Startweb training masterclass 

This week, StartWeb Africa is scheduled to hold its periodic free website training for undergraduates, youth corp members, and business owners. 

The event is one of StartWeb’s periodic attempts at teaching people how to create their own websites without having to code or employ the services of a web developer.

The company, which is known for producing one of Africa’s fastest-growing websites, e-commerce, and funnel builders, will teach participants how to utilize its simple and efficient drag-and-drop builder to create a website in under five minutes. 

This webinar will teach participants how to create a website using responsive and adaptable themes.
