Apple unveils flagship iPhone 13 series with new features but users are far from impressed

Apple officially launched its iPhone 13 range of smartphones at its California streaming event which was held on Tuesday, and this has been the centre point of varied reactions. The series includes the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

The iPhone 13 range of smartphones is a successor to the iPhone 12 that Apple launched less than a year ago. This range of smartphones, according to the brand, features some cool upgrades which Apple couldn’t wait to show off.

These phones come with features such as a faster A15 Bionic chip, a brighter display, a smaller notch and, of course, some serious upgrades to the camera.

According to Apple, this phone comes with the most advanced pro camera system ever seen on an iPhone. The camera, which features new sensors and lenses for all three rear cameras, is optimized to work seamlessly with the newly announced iOS 15. The camera is powered by the new image signal processor (ISP) in the A15 bionic chip for improved noise reduction and tone mapping.

Design upgrades

The newly released iPhone 13 range features a redesign both inside and out. The phone is similar in outward design to Apple’s recent releases but with a front notch shrunken by 20%. The iPhone 13 will offer a longer battery life, new storage of up to 1TB, and a Ceramic Shield front cover which the company believes is tougher than any smartphone glass available on the market.

The phones also come with massive new cameras

The screen comes with a Super Retina XDR display and is now 28% brighter at 1,200 nits. With its new ultra-wide features and a massive improvement in low-light conditions, the company believes anyone can capture cinematic moments even without having to be a professional filmmaker.

iPhone 13 price

iPhones are some of the most expensive smartphones in the world and this flagship product flaunts its price. The regular iPhone 13 starts at $799 for the 128GB while the 256GB goes for $999. The 512GB would sell for $1,099.

The iPhone mini would start at $699 for the 128GB, its 256GB would sell for $799 while the 512GB would sell for $999. The iPhone Pro starts at $999 for the 128GB, $1,099 for the 256GB, the 512GB would sell for $1,299 and the 1TB would go for $1,499.

The iPhone Pro Max starts at $1,099 for the 128GB, $1,199 for the 256GB, $1,399 for the 512GB while the 1TB would go for $1,599.

Users are not very impressed though…

The iPhone 13 smartphone is the latest flagship release from the company and comes with some exciting features, but users believe Apple could have done better.

Other key highlights from the event are the release of the Apple Watch Series 7 which was touted to be tougher than its predecessor and charges up to 33% faster.

The company also unveiled the Apple iPad and the 8.3-inch iPad Mini which comes with an entirely redesigned body, A15 chipset and a USB-C port. Unfortunately, the event didn’t feature anything about the Apple AR glasses or the Airpod 3 and users will have to wait it out.
