Women Shifting the Technology Landscape in Africa
This week, the Liu Institute Network for Africa (LINA) and the Collective for Gender+ in Research will be hosting an African Women’s Leadership program themed ‘Women Shifting the Technology Landscape in Africa’.
The event which is its second instalment will focus on gender equity and the role of women in Africa’s technology development agenda.
The speakers will highlight the ethos of enhancing diversity, representation, and inclusion within the technology space. They will also address how they are leveraging technology for social justice and human rights activism.
The event will host Amanda Obidike, Executive Director of STEMi Makers Africa; Angela Oduor Lungati, Executive director Ushahidi; and Ethel Cofie, Founder of Women in Tech Africa.

World Financial Innovation
This week, the 7th Edition of the World Financial Innovation Series (WFIS) will be held virtually. The conference will focus on the growing importance of digital innovation across financial institutions in Africa.

Security leaders retreat
This week, Tenable and Siemens will be hosting a virtual retreat for security leaders focused on the Industrial Cybersecurity Update for the third quarter of the year.
