Summitech Plans to Improve its Hospital Management Software, Expand Service Reach

IT solutions company, Summitech Computing Limited plans to improve its hospital management software and drive an extensive expansion programme in the coming weeks.

This was announced by CEO, Adekunle Kunle-Hassan at a virtual event held to commemorate the company’s re-entry into the ICT space and how they intend to play in the sector.

According to him, this is consistent with the company’s culture of always improving its offerings. He said that in order to strengthen its health system and make it uncompromised, effective and efficient, Summitech recognized a gap and introduced the first version of Indigo.

“Indigo was built with the aim of digitizing patient records, reducing patient wait time, improving hospital management of its inventory and payments and access to comprehensive reports. Initial tests have proven the software to achieve a fully utilized and efficient hospital management system. This is currently used across 8 healthcare centres in Nigeria, including the largest eye clinic in Sub-Saharan Africa”, he said.

Summitech Computing Ltd, was founded in 2016, by Adekunle Kunle-Hassan with starting members, Babatope Olosunde and Emmanuel Obidiegwu. They came together to achieve one goal apply their collective expertise (product, software engineering and IT infrastructure) to build a company that ofers world class IT services.

Hassan also announced that an improved version of Indigo is expected in the coming months.

As an ICT company with a global reach, the company aims to expand on the existing successes of its products. An example is Git Explorer, a one-stop open-source software created for developers to access a library of Git commands and aid their work process. Git Explorer has been used in over 40 countries with the USA housing the largest number of users of the software.

Summitech is also impacting the Tech community by hosting a yearly Quality Assurance training which provides a pathway for more young people to work in the Tech industry. The top 3 trainees are offered a 3-month internship position at Summitech.
