The Valentine season is around the corner and Netflix is bringing all the warm and cosy feels with the release of dozens of romantic movies, comedies and dramas.
For the month of love, Netflix is bringing the third and final instalment of the To All the Boys franchise. Fans will reunite with Lara Jean and Peter Kavinski for one last romantic adventure in – To All the Boys: Always and Forever.
Other love stories to look forward to include Squared Love, Geez & Ann and Caught by a Wave.
If you’re not in the mood for love and romance, there are several comedies, action thrillers and even horror movies set to debut on Netflix throughout February.
Below are some of best movies coming to Netflix in February.
1) To all the Boys: Always and Forever (February 12)
To All the Boys: Always and Forever will fittingly arrive shortly before Valentine’s Day. The movie follows the final chapter of Lara Jean and Peter’s romance.
It’s the senior year of high school, Lara Jean returns from a family trip to Korea and considers her college plans – with and without Peter. What happens? does Lara Jean and Peter find happily ever after? let’s wait and see this February.
2) Run All Night (February 1)
Run All Night may be an old movie but for lovers of action, it’s a classic dose of adrenaline. This February, Netflix is bringing back the adventure of a retired mob enforcer, Jimmy.
The movie follows the comeback of Jimmy into the criminal world when his estranged son runs afoul of Jimmy’s former mob boss.
3) Sniper: Ultimate Kill (February 1)
After a Colombian drug kingpin, Jesús Morales hires a skilled sniper known as “The Devil” to eliminate all of his enemies. He gains control over routes for smuggling drugs into the United States.
In a battle of bullets and deadly accuracy, US Agent Kate Estrada is sent to Colombia with sniper Brandon Beckett to stop “The Devil” and extradite Morales.
4) Mortal Engines (February 11)
Mortal Engines is a 2018 post-apocalyptic action-adventure film that hit differently with a unique theme. In February, Netflix is bringing the post-apocalyptic new world into its streaming platform.
Following a cataclysmic conflict known as the Sixty Minute War, the remnants of humanity regroup and form mobile cities, called “Traction Cities”.
Under a philosophy known as “Municipal Darwinism”, larger “predator” cities hunt and absorb smaller settlements in the “Great Hunting Ground.” In the movie, a young woman and her rebel friends seek to stop the giant mobile city of London from devouring everything in its part
5) Seventh Son (February 16)
Set in the 18th century, The Seventh Son follows the journey to recapture the witch Mother Malkin who was imprisoned underground by Gregory.
Gregory, who is the last of a knightly order known as the Falcons, apprenticed a seventh son Tom Ward in his battle to recapture the escaped witch.
6) Love Jacked (February 1)
Love Jacked is a Canadian romantic comedy film directed by Alfons Adetuyi and released in 2018. In the film, Maya, a young woman is on a trip to South Africa. While there she enters a whirlwind romance with Mtumbie, but shortly before returning home she breaks off their engagement when she catches him with another woman.
To protect herself from the disapproval of her father, she enlists Malcolm, a Canadian hustler on the run to pose as her fiancé
7) Bird on a Wire (February 16)
Bird on a Wire is an oldie. A 1990 American action comedy film that still carries a thirsty intrigue even after it was launched, the movie follows the escape of Rick, an attorney in witness protection after his new identity is blown.
In the movie, Ricks FBI ‘minder’ is replaced by a corrupt agent who helps the drug dealers and his accomplice locate him.
8) Pele (February 23)
The documentary of world football legend Pele is finally coming to Netflix. The film covers his emergence from a childhood fraught with adversity, and his quest for perfection and the mythical status he has since attained.
9) Tribes of Europa (February 19)
Set in 2074, Tribes of Europa follows the journey of three siblings whose fates were to change Europe after a global catastrophe causes the continent to fracture into dystopian warring tribal micro-states fighting for dominance.
In the movie, the three siblings get caught up in the conflict when they come into possession of a mysterious cube.
10) Squared Love (February 11)
What will you do for love? In Squared Love, a well-known journalist and renowned womanizer falls for a mysterious woman living a double life. This entanglement causes him to rethink his questionable lifestyle.
