    Tech Events this Week: Startup Guide Accra, Climate Change in West Africa and Others

    Hi guys, trust you had a pleasant weekend. There are several interesting events lined up this week in the African tech scene. However, most of them will hold virtually due to the continued spread of the deadly coronavirus.

    We have curated a list of some major virtual events. They come up between January 18 – 23, 2020.

    Startup Guide Accra

    On Tuesday, the StartUp Guide and the Ghana Innovation Hub are hosting the virtual launch event for Startup Guide Accra. The event was organised to provide useful resources and inspiring insight into the local ecosystem.

    A major sector that will be discussed is Agriculture which is a main growth driver. The event will also help create impactful solutions to issues in logistics, food preservation and waste management.

    Popular music streaming platform, Spotify has fina Popular music streaming platform, Spotify has finally expanded to Nigeria and several other African countries.

The company announced the expansion on Monday during its Stream On event for creators and partners. As the platform rolls out, music lovers in new markets will get to access content on mobile apps and in the browser. Apps for TV, consoles, speakers, wearables, and cars will be launched in the “coming months”.
