MSME Capacity Building Training
On Tuesday, a capacity building training for medium and small business owners will be held at Wennovation Hub in Ibadan. The program is part of the Federal Government’s economic sustainability plan for COVID relief.
During the event, business owners will receive training on business development and financial literacy skills that will help them navigate and grow beyond the pandemic period.
Participant will also be taught how to access the survival fund.

PyCon Nigeria 2020
The fourth edition of the PyCon Nigeria conference will be held virtually this week.
The event which marks the annual gathering of the Nigerian Python community will be focused on using and developing the open-source Python programming language.
During the event, topics like “Digital Entrepreneurship to Transform Communities”, “The science of FAIR data” and “Analytics and Expectations from the Business Community” will be discussed.
The conference will host Olubayo Adekanmbi, MTN Nigeria, Guido van Rossum, Microsoft, Lorena Mesa, Python Software Foundation, Yomi Akinyemi, KPMG Nigeria among others.

Singapore Global Fintech Festival 2020
This week, global tech leaders, fintech experts and financial enthusiasts will be gathering for the Singapore Fintech Festival. The festival will focus on how to get society back on its feet and support pandemic recovery.
Some of the highlights of the festival will be an online exhibition, Online workshops and demos, online networking, business matchmaking and meetings as well as physical events in FinTech hubs around the world
The event will host over 600 world leaders including Bill Gates; Satya Nadella, CEO Microsoft; and Jane Fraser, CEO Citigroup among others.

Tech Startup Skills
On Tuesday, The NestHub Incubator in partnership with IBM and Hyper Protect Accelerator will be hosting a Tech Startup skills session. During the session, participants will learn more about product-market fit and identifying a startup’s target market. There will also be discussions and a hands-on session on enterprise computing with IBM Z.
Apart from that, there will be a discussion about IBM Hyper Protect Accelerator: what is it, how can you apply, what industries are in our scope, what are the deadlines, what are the benefits for startup founders, and why would a startup benefit.
The event will host IBM Z’s Chief Penguin, Melissa Sassi who heads up StudentX & Entrepreneur Experience within IBM Z and Phila Phungula, IBM Z Developer Advocate – MEA.
