UPDATE: Investors Hire Investigators to Examine Accusations Against Wejapa CEO, Favour Ori

Avatar

Weeks after WeJapa’s Favor Ori stepped down from his role as CEO of the company to allow for an independent investigation of the allegations levelled against him, a Lagos-based commercial and dispute resolution firm announced that it had been hired to conduct investigations into the allegations.

The law firm, Calmhill Partners made the announcement on Twitter:

To make the investigation a robust one, the firm also called for people who have complaints or any information relating to the allegation to reach out via mail or call within a 3 days after the announcement was made.

“To this end, we are kindly requesting that any person who has a complaint or who has information that can aid our investigation should reach out to us on [email protected] or +2348129220195. We expect to receive all information by 18th September 2020. Thank you.”

Responding to the allegations, Favour tweeted that he is sorry for all those he has wronged and will take responsibility for his actions. However, he also mentioned that he is innocent of the fraud allegations.

He also stepped down from his role to allow for an independent investigation.

Favour Ori apologizes

Calmhill Partners’s tweet indicates that the investigation is already underway and Favour Ori, as well as the developers, will be questioned to establish if the said misdeeds occurred.

Recall that a similar procedure took place in the case of Kendall Ananyi, the CEO of Tizeti Networks when he was accused of sexual harassment.

Already, there are sentiments being expressed about the investigation and how satisfactory the report will be in the face of all the allegations on Twitter.
