He also added that he was working with Twitter to resolve the situation immediately.

“We are working closely with Twitter to resolve this issue immediately and return our accounts to normal. We are always vigilant in the handling of our accounts; operating safely and responsibly — taking the security of our accounts to the highest standards possible. This only further illuminates the urgent need for our society to adopt decentralized, trustless software and services.”

Twitter Hack

On June 15, Justin and a host of other prominent figures like Elon Musk and Bill Gates had their accounts compromised by hackers who used their handles to post Bitcoin giveaway scams.

Wednesday’s hack was the most widespread and confounding hack ever experienced on Twitter.

The crypto scammers stole a total of about N20.88 million ($58,000), according to the crypto watchdog, Whale Alert.

Some people who were affected by the hack have announced that their accounts are back. However, Twitter hasn’t given an official statement confirming that the accounts have been restored.

Whale Alert had earlier forcasted an increase in crypto scams this year

While we wait for Twitter to recover from the hack of the century, Justin’s bounty may spark yet lead to a discovery of the hackers who perpetrated the scam.
