Hi guys, welcome to the new month. With COVID-19 infection rate still on the increase, physical events are still banned. However, there is still a number of virtual tech events across the tech space you can attend.

We have compiled a list of them for you. These events come up between June 1 – 6, 2020.

Startup developments, funding and investor landscape in Nigeria

This event wants to discuss interesting startup developments, funding and the investor landscape in Nigeria during the COVID-19 era. The discussion will focus on the type of funding and investor and peculiarities to the Nigerian market and the development in start-up financing.

The discussion will be hosted by Daniel Merki, Head of Competence Center, Innovation and Start-ups. The company is a Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Nigeria.

MEL professional seminar on Adaptive tools

The current coronavirus pandemic has forced societies globally to adapt and respond rapidly to the shifting landscape. This event wants to help monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), professionals understand how adaptive programs ‘adapted’ to the ongoing changes, and what adaptive approaches and tools can be used to monitor, evaluate and document learnings.

To mark its 2020 gLOCAL Evaluation Week, the Partnerships to Engage Reform and Learn (PERL) is hosting a digital event for MEL personnel in adaptive programmes, INGOs, NGOs, the private and public sectors in Nigeria.

Utilities across countries with low energy access like Nigeria face a number of challenges in delivering on the mandates of affordable, reliable energy.

The webinar themed ‘Utilities 2.0: Better Services, Better Connections’ aims to engage researchers and utility experts working in Nigeria and Uganda on the lessons they have learned on the field.

This webinar is an opportunity to engage directly with the researchers and utility experts working in two case study countries: Nigeria and Uganda. Attendees would also learn lessons from the field.
