Hi guys, trust you had a great weekend? Although the lockdown measures across the continent have been eased, there is still an embargo against large gatherings. Hence, most events won’t still be physical.

However, there are still several Virtual events across the tech space you can attend. We have compiled a list of them for you. These events come up between May 25 – 30, 2020.

Surviving COVID-19 for Women in MSMEs

The economic effect of the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted many sectors. Medium and small scale enterprises (MSMEs) have especially suffered due to the lockdown. Nigeria’s Clean Tech Hub is holding a discussion around how women in MSMEs can survive the pandemic.

The discussion will feature Butsi Tladi, executive head of Alexander Forbes Consulting, Craig Bentley, head of multinational consulting, among other experts in the sector.

COVID-19 Impact: Helping small businesses recover

With the socio-economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic draining business cash reserves, millions of small companies run the risk of being forced out of business.

In response, the UN Global Compact Academy and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) have launched a special academy series to help small businesses survive the effects of COVID -19.

The event will feature Peter Ndegwa, CEO, Safaricom, Dorothy Ng’ambi Tembo, Acting Executive Director, International Trade Centre among others as they discuss the ways of helping small business recover from the effect of the pandemic.
