Happy new month everyone. A new week is upon us and we want it to be a productive one for you. Hence, we at Technext have curated a list of tech events happening around you that you might be interested in. These events come up between February 3 and 8, 2020.

Afrobytes Nairobi 2020

Afrobytes wants to bring together industry decision-makers and startups looking to transform the African space and shape the future of tech in Africa.

The event will see attendees explore the trends and the future of Tech in Africa.

Venue: iHub, Nairobi, Kenya.

Date: Monday, February 3, 2020

Time: 4 PM.

Africa Tech Summit Kigali

One of the biggest annual tech events in Africa, the Africa Tech Summit Kigali will provide attendees with insight, networking and business opportunities for African and international tech leaders and investors who want to do business in Africa.

There will also be a pitch session, one that will include 5 Nigerian startups.

The three day tech summit will feature – The Future Summit, The Money & Blockchain Summit and The Africa Start-up Summit. It will bring together over 600 digital leaders, tech corporates, MNO’s, banks, investors, regulators, start-ups, creative media and leading tech ventures from across Africa.

Venue: Kigali Convention Centre, Kigali, Rwanda.

Date: Tuesday, 4 – Friday, 6, February, 2020.

Tech & Migration – Africa Law Tech Festival 

The Lawyers Hub, together with Omidyar Network, presents a one day training on Digital Identity with a focus on the Africa Free Trade Agreement.

The festival will bring together various leaders from across Africa in Law and Technology sectors. It will also create a space where conversations around policy issues in emerging technologies, the role of tech in promoting access to justice, rule of law and law reform will be discussed.

Kingdom Hackathon 2020

For the second time running, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), will be holding her annual innovation challenge focused on solving social problems through technology – Kingdom Hackathon.

The event will bring developers and other innovators together with mentors to forge solutions to given challenges captured in the United Nations’ SDGs – with focus on numbers 1, 2, 3 ,4.

Design Together – Boxes & Circles

A meetup and learning worskshop for UI and UX designers (beginners inclusive), the event wants to bring together designers to “learn how to draw boxes and circles, gist and go home.”
