Last week, the Board of Chams Plc announced the appointment of Tomiwa Aladekomo as a non-executive director following the retirement of Mrs Olufunke AlomoOluwa who served on the board from 2016.

In the announcement which was sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), the board also noted that AlomoOluwa’s appointment ended on December 1, 2019.

Mr Aladekomo has served as a member of the board of ChamSwitch Plc from January 2015 before his recent appointment as a non-executive director on the board of Chams Plc. He has also worked for Smartcity Resorts as director, where he supervised the management team and created strategies with the board.

As a part of his 9 years of professional experience, Aladekomo served as Art Manager for Atlantic Records in New York. He has worked with several media groups which include THISDAY, Guardian, Quirk Limited, and Big Cabal Media where he currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer.

This year has seen Chams Plc make a few changes to its personnel team to ensure maximum growth across all levels. Recently, the company appointed Gavin Young as its new Chief Executive Officer following the exit of Olufemi Williams.

Perhaps, Tomiwa Aladekomo’s appointment is one more move by the company to sustain its growth. It could also be a continuation of the legacy of the founder, his father, Mr Ademola Aladekomo.
