Recruitment Platform, CodeLn Launches Marketplace to Connect African Tech Talents with Global Clients

Tech startup, CodeLn, has launched an automated tech recruitment platform that makes it easy for companies around the world to hire African tech talents for their projects.

Today, we are glad to announce the official launch of our Talent Marketplace 🎉🎉🎉
It is our vision to become the global go-to marketplace for skilled African Software Engineers. Read the blog below to find out how we are unique.https://t.co/lcr3Y7zeO7

    — CodeLn (@Codeln_spaces) November 28, 2019

The Africa tech scene is growing faster, and leading this growth is a plethora of talented young individuals and developers. So finding a suitable developer(s) for your project can be a strenuous adventure and that is something CodeLN is hoping to fix.

Founded in 2018 by Elohor Thomas, Philisiah Mwaluma, Dennis Nduta, and Dexter Ouattara, all who are engineers in various fields of tech, CodeLn automated the entire tech recruitment process, end-to-end.

The platform is built to handle the 3 stages in tech recruitment — Sourcing, Screening, and Interview. CodeLn provides a rich pool of talent from across Africa including their profiles skills, work experience history, and portfolio.

Nigerian Self-Taught Developers Are The Third Biggest Users of FreeCodeCamp

These candidates coding skills are screened and accessed using CodeLn’s inbuilt testing tool. Candidates are given a project-based assessment which is graded based on industry’s best practices. CodeLn’s platform also lets recruiters schedule interviews with developers and track the whole process.

So this means that a recruiter can post a job opening, receive recommendations of candidates based on the skills required for the job, conduct an online test to vet expertise, schedule an interview, and present a job offer, all without leaving the platform – and within 15 minutes.

Currently, the platform has a database of over 8,000 software engineers from across 12 African countries – a number which is said to be growing daily.

With such number of talents on its platform, CodeLn is quickly rising up to be a competitor in the market of curating African tech talents which has the likes of Andela and Natterbase as well as foreign competitions like Fiverr.

The platform currently has its offices in Lagos, Accra, and, Nairobi courtesy of the MEST incubator network where it was a participant last year bagging $100,000 in funding from MEST.
