Some weeks back, the global smartphone brand, OPPO Mobile introduced a new mobile phone model (Oppo A9) into the Nigerian telephone market. The new is aimed at catering to the needs of a segment of Nigerian users that want a quality experience at a great price.
The Technext team had an interaction with the device and here is a report of our experience.
The OPPO A9 has five separate cameras which are the norm for the emerging smartphone devices. A 16MP Front Camera plus 48MP Rear Quad main lens for maximum photo resolution.
We learnt that the device has an AI Beautification feature that allows it automatically identify the ages of people in the picture and adjusts features like skin tones (depending on gender) based on current beauty trends.
We were sure of our beauty so we did not try!
The Oppo A9 combines an EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) with intelligent technology and internal gyroscope capabilities that enable it to carry out shake-free filming even if you are walking, running or riding in a vehicle.
We tried out this feature. Check out the video for how it works.
Screen and Looks
One of the key features of the Oppo A9 is its large content display possibility. Over 79% of the Waterdrop Notch screen is available for display.
Also, because of the phone’s dynamic pixel adjustment, you can read what is on your screen even under strong sunlight. Plus, the manufacturers claim that the A9 filters out harmful blue light to prevent eye fatigue, protect your vision and even help you fall asleep faster.
We do not know how it works but the Oppo A9’s screen does not hurt even when you look at it for a while.
The Oppo A9 comes equipped with a 128GB ROM. This is complemented by a 256GB additional memory.
It has three card slots on its side: a dual Sim for the average double line holders and a MicroSD port for tons of extra storage.
The phone also has a 5000mAh Ultra Battery with Reverse Charging Capability: HD videos on your phone non-stop for more than 11 hours.
The phone has a slick shape that is easy to hold. It has some fancy colour gradients as well that you can choose from.
The Oppo A9 goes for N89,900 in the market.
