Carbon’s Chijioke Dozie and Ngozi Dozie Join the 91st Cohort of Endeavor Entrepreneurs

Fintech Firm, Carbon has opened its Financial Services API to help Start-ups, SMEs Across Africa Build their Business

Co-founders of Nigerian fintech startup, Carbon, Chijioke Dozie and Ngozi Dozie were among 24 high-impact founders selected by Endeavor into its cohort of entrepreneurs. This was revealed at its 91st International Selection Panel (ISP) in Istanbul.

Speaking on the selection, Eloho Gihan-Mbelu, Managing Director of Endeavor Nigeria, welcomed the duo into the cohort of entrepreneurs.

Chijioke and Ngozi are joined by 3 other selected entrepreneurs from Egypt, bringing the total number of African representatives to 5 out of the 24 Entrepreneurs selected from 12 Markets around the world.

They were chosen through a culmination of a rigorous multi-step selection process designed to identify high-impact entrepreneurs who demonstrate the potential to leverage Endeavor’s resources and mentorship to create large-scale wealth and jobs.

Endeavor also identified innovative and driven entrepreneurs who are committed to reinvesting their time and money in their local entrepreneurship ecosystems to help others take off.

Congratulating the new group of Endeavor Entrepreneurs, Linda Rottenberg, Co-founder and CEO of Endeavor, said the calibre if chosen entrepreneurs reflects the power of the company’s global network.

The selected Endeavor Entrepreneurs gain access to comprehensive customised services, including introductions to local and international business mentors, volunteers and stakeholders from Fortune 500 consulting firms who will help them address key needs.

Since Endeavor was founded in 1997, the group has been geared towards “selecting, mentoring and accelerating the best high-impact entrepreneurs around the world”. With these recent cohorts, Endeavor now supports 1,992 entrepreneurs leading 1,243 companies in 35+ markets around the world.

Endeavor in Nigeria was launched in 2018. It currently has an impressive and fast-growing portfolio of companies. With Carbon’s co-founders joining, the total number of Endeavor entrepreneurs in Nigeria grows to 10.

Endeavor Entrepreneurs have had a significant track record of impact. They have created 3 million jobs, generated $20 billion in revenue in 2018, and helped build sustainable growth models in their home countries that benefit their local ecosystems and economy.
