A fire outbreak at the Lekki Storage Facility of IT Conglomerate, CWG Plc, on Monday morning, has caused some material loss.
The incident was disclosed in a statement released by Anthonia Ehanmo, Group Head, Brand and Marketing Communication CWG Plc.
According to the statement, there were no injuries recorded and all personnel were safely evacuated.
The fire outbreak was reported to have been contained by officers of the Fire Service Units. However, according to a Twitter user who posted eye witness pictures, the fire service arrived over an hour after they were called.
CWG revealed that they currently don’t know what caused the fire and did not specify how much exactly was lost but official investigations are underway.
In addition, the statement iterated the firm’s dedication to the safety and health of its employees and also thanked the neighbouring community and the men of the Fire service for their assistance.
