President Buhari’s Ministerial List Sparked Mixed Reactions from Nigerians on Social Media. Who will be the Next ICT Minister?

Avatar

Hello people, it’s another beautiful weekend but the week has not been a good one for Nigerians as they seem unhappy over President Buhari’s ministerial list. After its release, it sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media with #MinisterialList trending.

Nigerians felt very angry, to the point that even small babies refused to smile. Don’t ask us how we know this!

Some Nigerians on social media were not impressed to see the same old names on the list because the President had promised to appoint more youths.

Others reacted because the list contains only a few women.

A lot of Nigerians were disappointed too that Akinwunmi Ambode former Lagos State Governor did not make the list.

Amidst reactions to the list, Nigerians have also been wondering which appointee will get what portfolio and people in the tech space especially have wondered who will be made ICT minister.

Anyway, we hope that after the Senate clears them, they will las las help Mr President stabilise the nation and face the real problems this time.

Google launches Google Map navigation instruction in Nigerian voice

During the week, Tech giant Google launched new products at the #GoogleForNigeria event. These are products that are meant to be more helpful to users in Nigeria, especially the navigation instructions in a Nigerian voice for both motorcycles and vehicles.

Other new features include imagery for Street View, Gallery Go, Google Go updates, Google Lens, Bolo, and a Nigerian culinary experience from Google Arts and Culture. Read about it here.

We hope all the new updates make life easier for everyday people in Nigeria.

Nigerians react as Davido and Chris Brown collaborate to release a new song ‘Blow My Mind’

Recall that we wrote about how Nigerians reacted when Wizkid and Beyonce collaborated on ‘Brown Skin Girl’.

Now David ‘Davido’ Adeleke and American pop singer Chris Brown have released their own collaboration ‘Blow My Mind’ and Nigerians have reacted to it on social media comparing the song with Wizkid’s.

Well, I think there is no point comparing the artistes. They are representing Nigeria and Africa as a whole very well.

Thank you for coming through. See you next week. Have a great weekend.
