Hi Everyone! A new week is upon us and we want it to be a very productive one for you. To that effect, Technext has curated a list of tech events that might interest you. This includes events coming up between June 10th and June 16th, 2019.

PITCH2WIN

Organized by TechCircle, PITCH2WIN is aimed at identifying the next generation of tech startups. The pitch competition will put 10 pre-selected startups in front of active and prolific tech investors, with the winner walking away with N1 million – equity free.

Aside the startup pitch, the event will also serve as an avenue for attendees to connect with great founders, prolific local/international investors and industry shareholders.

Aba Global Techstars Startup Weekend 

Techstars Startup Weekends is a 54-hour event designed to provide superior experiential education for technical and non-technical entrepreneurs.

This edition of the event is themed “Sustainability Revolution” and would provide an avenue for startups to share ideas, meet a team, and be mentored by the industry’s finest. It would also help participants find the right tools needed to design and build new products, services or businesses in the space of a single, fast-paced weekend.

Women In Tech

A hangout of women operating in the tech industry, the event is for ladies who are aspiring to be innovative, creative and daring about their personal growth and effecting change in the world.

Global DevOps Bootcamp, Engineering Summit and Other Tech Events this Week

Themed “The Strength of a Woman in Technology“, the hangout will feature female industry stakeholders including Mrs Faith Adesemowo (CEO Social Lender), Mrs Ibukun Awosika-Itimi (Devops at Paystack), and several others.

Microsoft Global DevOps Bootcamp

A worldwide event, the Global DevOps Bootcamp will be held this week and will revolve around DevOps on the Microsoft Stack. This 1 day event will provide attendees with the chance to talk, learn and play with DevOps concepts.

This year’s theme is ‘You build it, you run it!’ It would grant attendees access to all the good Microsoft DevOps products and new technologies.

Venue: Microsoft Nigeria, Civic Towers, Lagos.

The Engineering Summit Africa

Currently in its 2nd edition, the Engineering Summit Africa is focused on addressing key economic and development issues in line with Engineering and Technology applications in Africa.

The summit will create a platform to showcase Engineering and Technology innovations through the use of emerging technologies, research and development. It will do this by bringing together techpreneurs, engineers, investors, policy makers, developers, researchers and innovators.

Venue: Main Auditorium, Lagos State University, Lagos.
