Meet Olaniyi Toluwalope, the New MD/CEO of Payments Processing Company, eTranzact

eTranzact Loses 123% Profitability Year-On-Year In Q2 2020

Prominent payments processing company, eTranzact, has confirmed the appointment of Olaniyi Toluwalope as the its’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

Before this confirmation, Olaniyi has been serving as the acting MD of the company following an N11bn fraud allegation which led to a major shakeup in the management structure of the electronic payment solution provider. This led to the resignation of former CEO, Valentine Obi.

Now, upon his confirmation, Olaniyi will be charged with helping the company drive its business forward.

A financial expert, Olaniyi Toluwalope holds a BSc in Accounting from the University of Lagos and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business where he studied Corporate Finance and Financial Strategy. He is also a Chartered Accountant.

Before joining eTranzact in 2011 as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Olaniyi has worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he was a Senior Associate serving in various units – Financial Services, Energy and Oil & Gas, Telecommunication, and Consumer and Industrial Products.

He had also worked at JP Morgan Securities Investment Banking Division and Credit Suisse First Boston’s Investment Banking unit in New York City.

According to reports, Olaniyi will not be the only one coming on board. Mr. Hakeem Adeniji-Adele has also been appointed as the Deputy Managing Director of eTranzact.

The former Microsoft Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Public Service Director will be bringing his 20-years hands-on experience in the technology space to the payments processing company.
