Olugbenga Agboola, Moses Babatope and Kene Okwuosa Selected into the 87th Cohort of Endeavor Entrepreneurs

Three high-impact Nigerian entrepreneurs – Olugbenga Agboola (CEO, Flutterwave), Moses Babatope (CEO, FilmHouse) and Kene Okwuosa (Managing Director, FilmOne) have been selected by Endeavor into its 87th cohort of entrepreneurs.

The selection was unveiled at Endeavor’s 87th International Selection Panel (ISP) in Madrid, Spain where the company inducted 40 Endeavor entrepreneurs.

A non-profit organisation, Endeavor supports high-impact entrepreneurs around the world. Now it has added 3 Nigerian entrepreneurs to its list.

Flutterwave is a payment solutions startup, FilmHouse is Nigeria’s largest chain of cinemas, screening Hollywood blockbusters alongside premium Nollywood films while FilmOne is the production and distribution arm of the company.

These entrepreneurs were selected by panelists drawn from Endeavor’s extensive network of board members, mentors, supporters, and experienced Endeavor Entrepreneurs. They were selected through a rigorous multi-step selection process which includes an interview to evaluate their potential for high-impact growth. This is to ensure that innovative and driven entrepreneurs are identified to advance the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

However, Olugbenga Agboola, Moses Babatope and Kene Okwuosa were not the only African entrepreneurs who made the list. They are joined by 3 other Africans from Tunisia and Morocco. This brings African representatives to a total of 6 out of the 40 entrepreneurs selected from 17 countries.

Endeavor would provide the entrepreneurs with comprehensive customized services. This includes introduction to local and international business mentors and stakeholders from Fortune 500. They would also get access to funding (from Endeavour Catalyst), more markets and access to a vast pool of talents.

Since its founding in 1997, Endeavor has been selecting, mentoring and accelerating the best high-impact entrepreneurs around the world. And with these latest cohort, Endeavor now supports 1,880 entrepreneurs leading 1,178 companies in 34 countries around the world.

The selected entrepreneurs have had a significant track record of impact. They have created 3 million jobs, generated $20 billion in revenue in 2018 and helped build sustainable growth models in their home countries.
