Lagos is said to be the next Silicon Valley, home to the largest tech hub ecosystem in Africa. Another hub has just joined the league.

Meet The Nest, an innovation technology park to help technology startups thrive, achieve their desired results.

Located in the Yabacon area of Lagos, the hub was built to cater for the needs of startups and tech enthusiasts. It has been designed to provide a community that fosters innovation for technology startups by encouraging experimentation, research, and adoption of new and emerging technologies for cutting-edge product development and entrepreneurship.

We seek to take the lead in continuous education and providing an enabling environment for startups and businesses to grow and fly and to drive the human capacity development of the youth towards productivity through training, funding, mentoring and collaboration.

These are achieved through the various services the hub offers. These services includes:

  • Incubation: The Nest provides incubation to startups with products and solutions within its focus areas. It also provides them with funding to help transform their ideas into successful business enterprises. Infact it plans to create the largest IT focused technology fund in Nigeria in the next 10 years.
  • A Co-Working Space: The Nest also provides a shared workplace to techpreneurs. The office-style environment comes in 2 options: Executive Office and Desk for Team (for those who prefer to work with others).
  • Trainings: In addition to a space for startups, the park also offers trainings to interested persons. Boasting of a 50-Seater capacity, state-of-the-art, well-equipped training facility, The Nest trainings covers areas on developement, design and business.
  • Lounge: The Nest balances out work and relaxation with its lounge. Here, techpreneurs can get to hangout, relax and network with one another. It can also be used for get-togethers or a cooperate events.

In addition to the above services, the hub also runs a ‘Girls Code Academy’ with the aim of training 10,000 young female coders by the end of 2020. Already it has trained 250 female coders in its last two sessions, which kicked-off last year.
