      Happy new month to you all. It’s of course a new week and we at Technext.ng are delighted to bring you a list of tech events for this week. These events will take place between 4th – 9th March, 2019.

      Big Data and Business Analytics Conference (DABConference) 

      Big Data and Business Analytics Conference is a three-day event with the theme Unleashing the Power of Data Analytics to Drive Business Results.

      The Conference aims to bring together leading figures in the Big Data and Business Analytics circle across Sub-Saharan Africa to share insights on leveraging data for strategic business decisions.

      The Conference will explore Insights and Analysis while evaluating the African market opportunity, identifying top-ranking industries and providing market forecasts.

      The event has Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, as the Special Guest of Honour.

      Date: Tuesday 5 – Thursday 7, March 2019.

      Time: 8 am daily.

      forLoop Babcock Summit

      ForLoop Africa, a community of software developers and enthusiasts, is bringing its summit to Babcock University, Ogun state. The event would bring together developers and enthusiasts to explain the different phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

      Babcock would not be the only one hosting a forLoop event this week as it is also coming to Lagos. This event would also bring together developers, tech professionals, enthusiasts and makers from around the city and beyond to learn, network and share ideas.

      ALC with Pluralsight 3.1 Meetup 2.0

      The Andela Learning Community (ALC) in partnership with Pluralsight and Google, is set to bring together aspiring technologists to benefit from the Grow With Google Scholarships program for Android and Mobile Web.

The launch was announced by Marjorie Saint-Lot, the Country Manager for Uber Côte d’Ivoire after 12 months of successful engagements with regulatory bodies and relevant industry stakeholders in the country.

The former senator announced this in a tweet where he alluded to have engaged in a series of meetings in New York with venture capitalists. “In NYC for a series of meetings with Venture Capitalists who have shown great interest in the fintech space in Nigeria. I’m hoping we could exchange ideas on how to move the needle further,” he said in a Twitter post.

While MTN and Airtel each gained over 400,000 subscribers (MTN – 488,120; Airtel – 420,031), every other telco lost subscribers including Visafone.
