The 18th Edition of CFA’s Startups Hangout to Feature Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa and Aramide Abe

The 18th edition of the CFA Startups Hangout, a monthly meet up for tech enthusiasts, is set to hold this month and would be featuring two entrepreneurs.

The 18th edition of the CFA’s Startups Hangout, a monthly meet up for tech enthusiasts, is set to hold this month. Organised by CFAtech.ng, the hangout provides a platform for entrepreneurs to meet, network, learn and grow.

This edition would feature 2 industry experts; Managing Consultant of StarTeam Consult, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa; and Founder of Naija Startups, Aramide Abe.

This first edition of 2019 is themed, From Startup to Scale up – The Whole 9 Yards. Many startups die off soon after taking off because they are unable to scale up their business. Which is why this hangout will enable startups to learn from two seasoned entrepreneurs who have gone through it all.

Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa is the Managing Consultant of Starteam Consult and a veteran in the industry. He is the founder of Sam Ohuabunwa Foundation for Economic Empowerment (SOFEE, 2009).

He is a former chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, and former chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria. He is also a former president, Nigeria Employers Consultative Association and a former president of the Nigerian American Chamber of Commerce.

He is currently the president of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria.

Aramide Abe is the founder of Naija Startups, a virtual sector-agnostic startup accelerator and entrepreneurship community. the community has a vision to facilitate small business growth in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Aramide has collaborated with organisations like Google to deliver capability building and skills for several Nigerian entrepreneurs. He continues to partner with other organisations to provide value-added services to entrepreneurs across Africa.

Past editions of the hangout had featured prominent successful Nigerian entrepreneurs, including Austin Okere, Founder, CWG; Banke Alawaye, Country Manager, Praekelt; and Chinenye Mba-Uzoukwu, CEO, InfoGraphics.

It also featured Jean-Marc Ricca, Managing Director of BASF West Africa; and Obafela Bank-Olemoh, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Education amongst several others.

This edition of CFA’s Startups Hangout is supported by Godo.ng, Remita, and Swift Networks. It is set to hold at 53, Oladipo Bateye Road, Off Adekunle Fajuyi Way, GRA Ikeja, Lagos. Registration is free but compulsory as there are limited seats available.
