I hope we all had a swell time during the festive period. It’s the first Monday of the new year and we at Technext are delighted to bring you tech events that would be taking place this week. This compilation includes events coming up between January 7th and 12th, 2019.

Flutter Lagos Meetup

This is a general meetup organized by Flutter Lagos in collaboration with GDG Lagos for Flutter users.

Flutter is an open-source mobile application software development kit (SDK) used in creating both iOS and Android apps.

The Flutter meetup is open to everyone, especially those interested in building mobile apps using the Google’s mobile SDK – Flutter.

The Economics of Blockchain

Venture capital firm, Ingressive, kicks off the new year with its hangout titled “The Economics of Blockchain.” This edition of the event would be featuring experts from the Facebook Blockchain team (US), to engage in a discussion regarding fintech as it relates to blockchain.

It would also be hosting experienced members of the Nigerian tech community in the areas of fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and the banking sector.

Ignite Innovation Lab Expo/Networking and Award Event

Organised by Inspire Africa for Global Impacts Initiative with support from the Embassy of the United States of America, Abuja, this event is the grand finale to celebrate the 25 female finalist selected to participate in a one week Innovation Lab.

Winners at the Ignite Innovation Lab would also be announced at the event as well as an exhibition of the entrepreneur’s startup. Attendees would also get to network and meet up with the several guests and participants.
