Meet Nasiru Ado Bayero, the New Chairman of 9Mobile

After series of backs and forth, Teleology Holdings has finally taken over Nigeria’s 4th largest telco, 9mobile. As a result of this transfer of ownership, Teleology has established a new Board of Directors to be chaired by Mr. Nasiru Ado Bayero.

Nasiru Ado Bayero is the third son of Ado Bayero, the Late Emir of Kano. He is a successful businessman with experience spanning over 20 years having served at the helms of affairs in various cadres of the Public and Private Sectors. He served at Continental Merchant Bank from 1988 to 1989 after which he worked at Coastal Corporation (Oil & Gas Company), Houston, Texas, from 1990 to 1991. He proceeded to Hamlet Investment, Inc. (England) where he served from 1991 to 1992.

He also served with Intel (Oilfield) Services Nig. Ltd, Barton Bay Nig. Ltd, and Sophitel Hotel Abuja, all as member of the boards of directors. Presently, Nasiru is a board member of the Leverage Insurance Brokers Limited which was established in 1991.

Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero also holds the title of Ciroman Kano and is the district head of Nassarawa local government.

The 54 year old prince is a 1987 graduate of Mass Communications from the University of Maiduguri. He also holds a certificate in German Language from 1993.

Upon his appointment, he would be required to manage and provide leadership to the Board of Directors of the Company with his years of experience.
