Nigerian Amputee Football Team Gets First World Cup Victory.

Nigerians rallied round the Special Eagles to ensure they made it to the World Cup. The NFF, Super Eagles players, Mikel Obi and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, all played pivotal roles in helping the team to Mexico for the 2018 Amputee World Cup. After enduring losses in their first two games, the Nigerian Amputee Football team, nicknamed ‘Special Eagles’ finally recorded their first victory at the tournament.

Nigerians celebrated the victory as if the team won the World Cup even though they didn’t make it beyond their group. Nigerians chose to celebrate their strength for achieving that feat despite their their hasty and inadequate preparation. Some didn’t even care, insisting that lone win meant the team has won the trophy.

President Buhari’s Son, Yusuf Begins NYSC in Abuja

The National Youth Service Corp is a programme designed for Nigerian graduates to partake in in order to have served their country. But some graduates don’t submit themselves for the mandatory service, usually due to their influential families or personal connections to the corridors of power.

But it appears Yusuf Buhari, son of Nigeria’s president is changing the narrative with his latest move. The only surviving son of the president has reportedly enrolled for the NYSC programme in Abuja.

His enrollment into the youth service is coming a few weeks after Nigerian superstar singer, Davido also enrolled for the NYSC programme at the Lagos camp.

Seems everybody is now taking this NYSC very serious after the scandal it brought upon the former ministers of finance and communication.

Well that’s all for this week. Have a great weekend. Catch you again next week.
