Skool Media Limited, an ICT solution-based company through its subsidiary, Edufirst.ng, today held the media parley for its Education First Campaign focused on “Raising the Standard of Education in Nigeria.”

The event which held in Ikoyi, Lagos, media and industry partners present to witness an introduction/overview of what the campaign would entail. This campaign is part of Edufirst.ng’s aim of bridging the gap and enhancing the standard of education in Nigeria while advocating for an all inclusive education system.
Speaking on the campaign movement, CEO/Project Director of Skool Media Nig Ltd., Mr. Moses Imayi, said that education is the biggest investment that can be made to grow the country. As such, the campaign is a part of the organisation’s commitment to providing an improved education for all.

“Edufirst.ng will be embarking on a campaign themed “Raising the Standard of Education in Nigeria“. This campaign is not alien as it also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 – To ensure an equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning for all,” Mr. Moses said.
With this campaign Edufirst.ng would be looking to:
- Reinforce the need for quality education for all and making quality education a priority to both Public and Private participants
- Address the need for improvement of educational standards, leveraging the power of technology to transform and make teaching/learning fun and productive
- Identify and establish partnership with relevant organizations and institutions for the achievement of quality education for the Nigerian child
The Education campaign would be held in Lagos and Abuja. It is expected to bring together all key stakeholders in the Education sector with key delegates from concerned agencies such as; UNESCO, UNICEF and Department for International Development (DFID) to dialogue on how to move the education sector forward.

Mr. Imayi reiterated the need for further collaboration with everyone – Media, Industry Partners, Students and Schools, for the campaign event to fulfill its purpose and propagate a future for the Nigerian Education sector.
During the course of this campaign, the Edufirst.ng platform which is an online tool would be unveiled. The platform allows for student-teacher collaboration, online assessment, student records management, scholarship information, study abroad opportunities and unique education contents. All of these is targeted at enhancing the capacity of the Nigerian child in engaging with relevant aspects of digital learning.

Although it would be fully unveiled during the course of the campaign, Edufirst.ng has not been dormant. It has jointly worked with the mother body, Skool Media Ltd., in training over 2000 smart teachers on relevant digital learning skills. It also helped in setting up student technology experience centres in about 23 Federal Government unity schools across the federation. Some of these schools are in Yaba, Owerri, Kaduna, Ikot-Ekpenne, Kano, Ohafia, Enugu, Adamawa, Benin and others.
These centres are equipped to provide students/teachers with a wide range of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) contents.
