Team Cash Flow led a handful of big winners at the just-concluded First Bank Fintech Summit. The summit which saw a convergence of over 700 Fintech players, stakeholders and tech lovers held on Wednesday at the Oriental Hotels, Lekki Lagos.

The Fintech Summit 2.0 culminated a three-day event themed: The Future of Banking – The Role of AI and Big Data. The event was generally designed as an avenue to showcase innovations developed by indigenous Nigerian companies. It also as provides a platform for networking and partnership opportunities between the Bank and the Fintech community.

Part of the event included a two-day fintech hackathon with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data. 10 finalists were selected from the hackathon to showcase their technological and artificial intelligence solutions during the summit.
The ideas at the #FirstBankIn2ovate #Hackathon ranged from solutions using A.I and Big Data for Voice Banking, Mobile Cheque Validation and other methods of financial fraud prevention which could be implemented by @FirstBankngr.

After their respective presentations, three teams with the most innovative solutions to challenges in the financial industry through the use of AI and Big Data, were selected as winners. They were: Team Cash flow (1st Position), Team Ace (2nd Postition), and Team CyberSmart (3rd Position), winning N3 million, N2.5 million and N750,000 respectively.

First Bank Fintech Summit 2.0 featured key stakeholders in the Fintech sector which includes: Khadija Abu, Product Partnerships Lead, Paystack; Olayinka David-West, Academic Director, Lagos Business School, Pan African University; Adia Sowho, Managing Director, Mines Nigeria; Akin Banuso, Country General Manager, Microsoft. They served as panelists for the event speaking on the the event’s theme – The Future of Banking – The Role of AI and Big Data.
