    Tech Events this Week: Campus Blockchain Hackathon, AI Saturday Meet Up and More

    Hi everyone, Happy new month and Independence celebration to you!

    As usual, it is not without a number of tech events you wouldn’t want to miss. And we at Technext, have curated a list of upcoming events that you might want to be a part of.

    This compilation includes tech events coming up between October 2nd and 6th, 2018.

    Campus Blockchain Hackathon

    The Campus Blockchain Hackathon is an initiative of the Nigerian Blockchain Alliance (NBA), aimed at engaging the academic community on the importance of Blockchain Technology, its relevant use-cases, and more specific, its adoption for enterprising solutions.

    The premier edition of Hackathon will hold at Covenant University.
    Date: 3rd – 5th October, 2018.

    Several topics will be covered by experienced facilitators on the area of the implementation of Blockchain technology. It is open to interested students who have a business idea and can-work in a team to run a startup Blockchain project. WInners would get a chance to compete at-the National Campus Blockchain Hackathon later this year.

    Venue: Hebron Startup Lab, Covenant University, Ogun.

    Date: October 3rd – 5th, 2018

    Time: 9 am daily.

    Lagos Digital Marketing Training Summit

    The Lagos digital marketing training summit is the largest digital marketing summit in Lagos and Nigeria. The aim of this summit is to help marketing and brand executives come together to get to know how they can use digital marketing to increase revenue, engage more, gain leads and most importantly increase their startup/business income.

    AI Saturdays Weekly Meet Up

    A weekly meetup for AI enthusiasts ready to network, meet and learn with others. The meet up will include learning on – Data Analysis; Introduction to Machine Learning; Building Machine Learning Models; Introduction to Deep learning; Hands-on Machine Learning; and Deep Learning Projects.

    Interested participants are just to ensure they come with their laptops and python readily installed on it.

    Venue: Cisco Systems Inc., Victoria Island, Lagos.

    Date: Saturday, October 6th, 2018

    Time: 10 am.
