The 16th Edition of the CFA’s Startups Hangout to Feature Ojoma Ochai and Obi Asika

The 16th edition of the popular monthly meet up for tech enthusiasts, CFA’s Startups Hangout, is finally here. A platform where entrepreneurs meet, network, learn and grow, the hangout will enable startups to learn from entrepreneurs who have gone through what they are currently going through and be guided on how to go about it.

Currently the fourth hangout this year, the meet up is themed ” Converting your Creativity to Profit” and is scheduled to hold on the 31st August, 2018. The hangout usually brings together the best minds in the Nigerian tech industry to share insights as regards the tech ecosystem of Nigeria, connect with other entrepreneurs and hopefully form new alliances as well as grow and sustain their businesses.

Just like previous editions, the August edition would be featuring two successful entrepreneurs: Ojoma Ochai and Obi Asika.

Ojoma Ochai is the Director, Arts, West Africa at the British Council, where she is focused on developing programmes that help provide a platform that supports creative entrepreneurs while promoting the use of digital and technology to strengthen the sector value chains. Obi Asika is currently the Chairman of Dragon Africa, a strategic communications advisory firm with blue chip clients across business and government. He is known worldwide, most especially, for his contributions to the creative ecosystem in Nigeria.

Past editions of the hangout had featured prominent successful Nigerian Entrepreneurs, including Austin Okere, Founder, CWG; Banke Alawaye, Country Manager, Praekelt; Chinenye Mba-Uzoukwu, CEO, InfoGraphics; Afolabi Abiodun, CEO, SB Telecoms and Devices; Bolaji Finnih, CEO, TechPreneur Africa; and Ommo Clark, CEO, iBez Solutions.

Others include Jane Egerton-Idehen, Country Manager, Avanti Satellite communications; John Obaro, Managing Director, SystemSpecs (Remita); Jean-Marc Ricca, Managing Director of BASF West Africa; Obafela Bank-Olemoh, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Education; and Wale Ajisebutu, Vice Chairman/CEO, 21st Century Technologies.

This edition of CFA’s Startups Hangout is supported by Godo.ng, Remita, The Guardian, CodeLagos, and Swift Networks. It is set to hold at 53, Oladipo Bateye Road, Off Adekunle Fajuyi Way, GRA Ikeja, Lagos. Registration is free but compulsory as there are limited seats available.
