CWG Plc Appoints Phillip Obioha as Chairman, Adewale Adeyipo as Executive Director

CWG Plc, Nigeria’s largest system integration company, has announced the major changes it has made to its board, with the appointment of a new Chairman, an Executive Director, and a Non-Executive Director.

According to Nairametics, this was Made known in a release issued to the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, today, even though some of the appointments have been made recently.

These newly-appointed Members of Board are Mr Philip Obioha (Chairman), Mr Adewale Adeyipo (Executive Director), and Mr Wale Agbeyangi (Non-Executive Director).

Mr Philip Obioha – Chairman

An highly-experienced technology expert with over 28 years of experience, Mr Obioha prior to his recent appointment, was a Non-Executive Director on the board and has served as the Chairman of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee (FARCOM) of the Board.

Mr Philip Obioha’s appointment took place on the 19th January 2018, after former chairman Mr Abiodun Fawunmi (who still remains on the board as a Non-Executive Director) stepped down.

Mr Obioha trained as an Electrical Engineer, with a specialization in Digital Electronics at West Virginia University, USA. He also holds an MBA from the Lagos Business School / IESE. He is also a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG, corporate) and the Nigerian Computer Society (NCS). He was conferred with the Titans of Tech award by Technology Africa in 2015.

Mr Adewale Adeyipo – Executive Director

His appointment came on 15th June 2018, of which prior to then he had held several leadership positions in CWG, including heading the business development unit of the telecommunications arm of the company and Business Director for PAN Africa Initiatives.

He is a graduate of the University of Ilorin, with a BSc. in Computer Science and is also an alumnus of the Lagos Business School (LBS).

Wale Agbeyangi – Non- Executive Director

An experienced investment banker, consummate entrepreneur and an Authorised Dealer of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Mr Wale is currently appointed as the non-executive director at CWG Plc.

He holds a law degree from the University of Lagos and has gone through the legal certification training of the Nigerian Law School. He also holds an MBA from the Business School of Netherlands and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (FCS).

Aside from his appointment at CWG Plc, Mr Wale is also the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Cordros Capital Limited.
