The challenge is aimed at university undergraduates (across all disciplines) and looks to garner ideas from students, offer them support in terms of cash funding and mentorship (via the Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) incubation services) to enable them to execute and scale your ideas into sustainable businesses.

Innovative and scalable ideas could come from (but not limited to) financial accessibility, millennial banking, agriculture, education and creative arts.

From all the submissions, the top three ideas would be selected and supported – over the next six months, with a range of services focused on product development, distribution and business modeling, to turn their ideas into fully working products that can be launched early next year (2019).

Interested applicants are to attend any one of six ‘Idea Sprint’ workshops to be held in 6 universities between 9 July & 27 July before the submission of the ideas is done.

The 6 universities includes: University of Lagos, University of Benin, Obafemi Awolowo University, Federal University of Technology Owerri, University of Abuja, Ahmadu Bello University.

After the submissions are made, there would be a pitching session in August of which a panel of Union Bank appointed experts will judge the entries on their originality, functionality, perceived commercial feasibility, and potential to solve the problems outlined and select the top 3.
