It’s a new week loaded with a number of events you wouldn’t want to miss. We, at Technext, have curated a list of upcoming tech events that you might want to be a part of.

IBM Web Development Session

The initiative, “IBM Digital – Nation Africa”, would be using cloud-based learning platforms designed to provide Web Development skills development programs for African youths to help them build solutions.

Facebook Build Day

Facebook Build Day is a Facebook Developer Community sponsored event. The Facebook Developer Community Challenge is ongoing and Facebook wants to create awareness and encourage developers to submit their solutions for the challenge. At the event, you would get meet up with a network of developers and community leaders to build solutions together.

Venue: Genesys Tech Hub, Km 7 Enugu-Porthacourt Expressway, Enugu.

AI6 Bi-Monthly Meetup

This is an enriched meet-up which is focused on learning and impacting. The meetup would be in three sessions with two focused deep learning frameworks sessions and the last being group discussions set out majorly for discussing projects that can be worked on as a community. The deep learning frameworks are TensorFlow Codelab and PyTorch Codelab.

Wikimaster Quiz-a-thon Lagos

This event is a knowledge-based event that is set to educate participants about the WikiMaster app, and use of Wikipedia. There would also be a ‘Have a Quiz’ Contest among participants which in turn would bring more awareness to the WOK project being a disruptive force for Education.

Techstars Startup Weekend

This is 54 hours weekend programme, where startups/entrepreneurs would meet the very best mentors, investors, cofounders, and sponsors who are ready to help them get started. Startups would get to connect with each other, discover and learn from industry experts and be able to start up effectively.

This event would be going on in two cities (Benin and Owerri) simultaneously. Registration fee is $37.14.

MVP Demo Day Abuja

This is an initiative of startup compound and it is posed to connect startups with investors. Startup Compound MVP Demo Day provides an opportunity for early-stage startups and teams committed to building their business by providing a platform for them to pitch their products in front of a live audience, get feedback and advice from mentors as well as gain insights from potential customers.

Venue: Enspire Incubator, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
