Launched in partnership with Accenture, a global management consulting firm, the 2018 edition will provide a platform for the world’s most innovative startups the opportunity to test, develop and adapt their solutions with senior executives from renowned financial institutions to meet the evolving needs of the region’s financial services and insurance industries.
This years edition of the accelerator programme would also include Insurance Tech (InsurTech), as well as Islamic Fintech and Regulatory Technology (RegTech) solutions. The focus on insurTech comes as a result of rapid growth in the sector and to enable insurance firms connect with this new wave of innovation.
The selected finalists will undergo a 12-week accelerator programme which will include mentoring from the industry’s leading firms and senior financial services executives from the Middle East and across the globe; insider knowledge and direct feedback from your target user groups; workshops and panel discussions on topics such as procurement, regulation and industry trends; opportunities to raise your profile amongst potential partners and investors; and a workspace in DIFC for two employees throughout the programme.

Finalists would be selected for the programme based on their startups’ maturity, life stage, market traction and financing profiles. Applicants will need to have a well-researched prototype or proven service in at least one market and be looking to expand into the region.
This year’s programme will start on September 4 – November 27 (2 weeks) also there would be an Investor Day later in the year, where up to 10 participants will present their solutions to an audience of industry stakeholders.
