Startupbootcamp Africa, has announced a formal partnership with the Google Cloud Startup Programme in respect to provide startups selected for the Cape Town-based accelerator with more than US$20,000 worth of additional tech.

This partnership with Google will offer additional support to qualifying startups, who will be eligible for membership in the tech giant’s Cloud Startup Programme. And as members of the Google Cloud, startups will be given US$20,000 in the Cloud and Firebase credit. Startups would also have access to a team of Google engineers during office hours, in-depth one-on-one architecture reviews, and invitations to exclusive local events.
Speaking on the partnership, Naama Yanko, Google Cloud Primary contact for the Startupbootcamp Africa finalists said,
The Google Cloud Startup Programme is designed to help startups build and scale using the Google Cloud Platform. We are a small team with startups in our DNA. We appreciate what makes early-stage companies tick, and we think that Google Cloud’s continued success over the next decade will be fuelled by great companies yet to be born. But like you, we’re mostly here because startups are challenging and fun and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
The Startupbootcamp Africa programme brings together top startups from around the world, providing them access to a network of renowned mentors (founding partners) which includes; industry experts, entrepreneurs, major players in several industries (banking, insurance, consultancy, leasing and technology).
The call for applications is to help source for scalable technology solutions that are applicable to diversified financial services and related industries. FastTrack events are being held across the continent in advance of this year’s edition which would run from August until November 2018. Applications are currently open for the 2nd edition of Startupbootcamp Africa programme.
