Roundup: Although Jacob Zuma has Resigned, He has Left us Many Popular Memes

Just as Nigerians were receiving valentine’s gift from some tech startups, South Africans had their own special gift, President Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma has finally stepped down as the president of the Republic of South Africa after a series of scandals.

#ZEXIT trended on Twitter for a good part of yesterday.

Former South African President, Jacob Zuma

Twitter will miss the not so loved President because he gave us a lot of themes for different expressions. Here, we going to look at some popular memorable one for your pleasures.

Remember when he joked about his house in Nkandla?

Zuma was a hero for many funny feats. Here are some examples:

Sure the President knows how to ride storms:

His refusal to resign helped flooded the media with lots of memes:

The moment before his resignation which saw an endless round of negotiation with the ANC leadership had its own depictions.

Some peeps even went as far as calling his tenure an error!

Nigerians were not left out of the rave either as they took to turns to express their varied opinions on the state of the country compared to SA. Do you remember Zuma’s statue by Rochas Okorocha (Imo State Governor in Nigeria)? It was featured too!

As they say ‘Nothing lasts forever’, Zuma’s era has finally ended. We can only wish South Africa good luck Under their newly appointed President Cyril Ramaphosa.
