The Venture Incubation Programme (VIP) is an initiative of MTN Solution Space which has been designed to provide a supportive ecosystem to help startups build viable and scalable innovation-driven companies. The top 10-15 startups from the VIP Bootcamp will participate a three-month Venture Incubation Programme in Cape Town, South Africa between 3 April – 30 June 2018.

With the programme, digital startups will have access to a range of resources which includes a co-working space, practical learning clinics, guidance from mentors, weekly check-ins and staff advisors, and a community of peers who learn and grow together.
Two programmes will run every year and each session will feature 15 companies, with a total amount of R300k (or its equivalent value) given to each digital startup for support.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifying team must contain at least two members, and have the right balance of skills/ability to build, test and deliver. They should have a working prototype with a minimum feature set ready to conduct early-market testing to further establish product and market fit.
Startups Founders must be the lead participant while the whole team must attend on a full-time basis (present at the Solution Space 30+hrs/week during the 12-week program from 3 April – 30 June 2018).
As you must expect, prospective entrepreneurs must also be committed, disciplined, ready to work and teachable. They must have a desire to help other teams and contribute to the community as a whole.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applications should be submitted here before the 28th February 2018. The Selection Committee would review the applications and the top 20-30 startups are selected to participate in a five-day design sprint to assess the fundamentals of the business and the team.
NB: Applicants should be able to attend the Bootcamp in Cape Town, South Africa between 12 – 16 March 2018. Applicants are also expected to cover their own costs associated with travel, accommodation.
