Delivery Man a courier service provider was recently launched in Nigeria. In a post by Disrupt Africa, Freeman Osonuga, the founder and Chief Dispatch Officer had this to say about Delivery Man “We are a value-driven, ultra-fast and same day delivery organisation that is committed to meeting the last-mile delivery needs of online retail businesses, social media retailers and physical stores”.
How it works
Deliveryman.ng allows businesses and individuals request for pick up of their items by filling out the request form on their website. According to them, once a booking is confirmed, a deliveryman will be dispatched matched to pick up and deliver goods to its destination.
Individuals and small business owners can utilize this platform to attain a better delivery because it will assure of a faster and more efficient means of dispatch and delivery. Delivery Man offers an array of exciting services that ensures goods reach their destination safe and on time.
It offers a range of services. These include E-Commerce Logistics’ Solution, Pick-Up and Delivery Services, Bulk Mail Delivery Service, Errand Services and Food Deliveries. They boast of a highly-trained network of professional dispatch riders that can provide fast and reliable deliveries across Lagos.
In recent times, there has been some development in the transportation system worldwide; even at this, the lapses in the local delivery transport service in Nigeria are still evident. People have had to send goods and services through less secured means where cases of theft, damaged goods and late delivery have become the norm.
The ‘Instant delivery’ package, for instance, can solve the challenge of delivering instant items (basically for items that must be delivered immediately like food delivery for a wedding). They also may be the credible option even for ‘Same-day delivery’ offering e-commerce businesses. Thay claim they ensure that packages are delivered within 5 hours of pickup and ‘Regular in place of the ‘next day delivery’ which provides delivery within 2 days of pickup.
Delivery Man services are currently available only to residents of Lagos but plans are ongoing for an extension, starting with Abuja in March.
